New Year’s is over and its now time to put that study resolution into action. Here are ten 2016 study tips from Elite Colleges to help you work towards your goals.
1. Find your passion
Take time to think about what exactly you want to achieve with your studies and career. Understanding what you find most intriguing will help you focus your efforts and reach your goals.
2. Stop procrastinating
Get your work done on time and before deadlines in 2016. You’ll probably find you eliminate quite a bit of stress in your life!
3. Give it 100%
Try putting just a little extra effort in. You’ll probably find that a little extra time and effort goes a long way!
4. Don’t do it all
It’s better to concentrate on a few things. Don’t cram your schedule.
5. Try something new
Consider signing up for a course or even an extra-curricular activity that interests you, but is outside your normal focus. You may find a new passion!
6. Banish the self-doubt
Doubting your own abilities only holds you back from achieving what you want to achieve. Just say no to negative thoughts!
7. Adopt a positive mantra
You’ll be amazed what you can accomplish just by telling yourself that it is possible!
8. Reach out to others
Look to friends and family for help when you need it. If you didn’t understand something, talk to someone.
9. Create a list of goals
Take a moment to think of one or two or five things you’d like to accomplish in 2016. A promotion? That career change you desire? Whatever your goals may be, take a moment and write them down. Revisit throughout the year and maintain your focus.
10. Take some “Me Time”
LYou are likely working, studying, and trying to be a good friend or family member all at the same time. That’s hard work! Carve out a little time each month to do something positive for yourself be it exercise, a quiet moment with a good book and a latte, or even sleeping in for an extra hour. You are working hard, reward yourself for a job well done.
