Course Description This qualification will equip you with the skills to provide services to clients in relation to mental health issues. To provide counselling, referral, advocacy and education/health promotion services. It would enable you to attain high level specialist knowledge, skills and competencies – especially in regard to laws affecting people with mental health issues, the range of services available to them and health issues related to mental health.

Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however TrainSmart Australia will assess a students’ ‘Academic Suitability’ to ensure the student has the best chance of success.  Academic suitability is determined by either; the student providing TrainSmart Australia with a copy of an Australian year 12 Certificate; or, the student completing the Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA) online assessment passing at or above Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) in both reading and numeracy.
