Getting a qualification can open a door to many new opportunities and with all our partnering colleges offering courses which qualify for VET FEE-HELP, it’s never been easier to achieve your career goals.
So what is VET FEE-HELP?
VET stands for Vocational Education and Training (VET) and VET FEE-HELP is an Australian Government loan scheme that assists eligible students to pay their tuition fees for Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications, diploma-level and above.
Effectively the VET FEE-HELP scheme allows you to study now, pay later.
It is important to note that once an eligible student has a job and their income is $54,126 or higher (for the 2015/16 financial year) the VET FEE-HELP loan will begin to be repaid through the tax system.
For some students, a 20% loan fee applies for VET FEE‑HELP loans accessed by full fee paying/fee for service students. The loan fee does not count towards your FEE‑HELP limit. You will not incur the loan fee if you are a student who is subsidised by a state or territory government.
You are eligible for VET FEE-HELP* if you;
▪ Are an Australian citizen or permanent humanitarian visa holder (resident in Australia for the duration of the unit);
▪ Have not exceeded the FEE-HELP limit, which is $99,389 for FY2016;
▪ Meet the tax file number (TFN) requirements; AND
▪ Apply prior to the census date
All the courses brokered through Elite Colleges are government approved and offer “Study Now, Pay Later” through the VET-FEE HELP loan scheme.
